The must-read revenue generating newsletter for business owners, sales leaders, and marketing professionals
Hi,
When I started in sales, everyone thought I had to be an engineer, meaning an expert in the products to sell effectively. They also believed you had to have talent to sell.
Variations of this mentality persist. Plenty of business owners are adamant that they need product experts with intrinsic sales talent because this is a prerequisite for growth, and without this talent you never move beyond word of mouth.
But the reality is, sales is not an art – and neither is marketing. Both can be learned. You can build a sustainable revenue generating system.
This newsletter is for the business owners, sales leaders, and marketing professionals who are striving to build that system. It is created for you – and that will always be the case. But the format of how we deliver the information will change.
Over the next few months, you’ll see us switch up what we include, and sections may differ from one newsletter to the next. The content will always tie back to sales, marketing, business, and revenue generation.
You’ll have a chance to weigh in too. Use the simple survey link at the bottom and let us know if you found the content useful.
Sharing effective revenue generating trends,
Kendra Lee

The State of Small Business – Is It Time To Move to Utah?
Small business owners are seeing the glass half full – at least according to a recent survey. Goldman Sachs polled 1,459 small business owners in the U.S. Most expect to be profitable this year, with 75% reporting they are optimistic about their company’s finances.
Maybe all these glass-half-full types live in Utah.
WalletHub named that state the best place to start a small business in 2024. Rounding out the top five are:
- Georgia
- Florida
- Idaho
- Nevada
Rhode Island came in last place. My state, Colorado, landed in the top 10. Where did you fall and do you agree? Check out the full results: WalletHub’s Best & Worst States to Start a Business (2024)
